The graphs of those horns that nobody loves sure look good to me.
I guess that putting a Piezo super tweeter that starts coming online at 4000 hz on top of my horns wasn't such a bad idea even though I am tone deaf and can't hear past 12khz.
I know that I love the sound of my 802-8D/pascalite or symbiotic/ aluminum 32B's in a smallish room.

Piezos actually come on much earlier than 4K. I tend to put them past an L-pad, and cap them off anywhere from 7-10K. Does cut he efficiency, so I use stacked vertical arrays. Trimming the flanges to close couple the horns can be useful.

Just a quick check with PCD shows that the combo of 32B and 802-8g can be made flat +/- 1.5dB from 1 to 15 kHz with a couple of caps, couple of resistors and a coil. Should be pretty consistent across +/- 30 degree window

The 2nd noteworthy innovation from Klipsch.so I use stacked vertical arrays.
The first time i heard piezos sound good was the Klipsch array that topped the big "MC" series PA system. Of course by then i was so sick of the nasty raspy T-35 that any other tweeter in a Klipsch set-up would have been an improvement. Actually, a blown T-35 is an improvement over a working model.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Not so sure it was klipsch innovation as I and others did it years before, and "sound columns" predated that.

LOL, I once saw a dual driver T-35 in an old cinema system. I wonder... if both of the drivers were blown would it be twice as good as a working t-35?
The issue seems to be mostly with the t-35's horn. The T-350 uses the same diaphragm if I recall. And the ST-350 is an improvement.
pretty sure the SPEAKERLAB WA4000 was a T-35 with an attempt to improve the horn, if so it worked.
